Your customers may think you are dropshipping.

-“…Wait, what?! My brand offers supreme quality, fast delivery and stellar customer service, they would NEVER think I am dropshipping.”
.
Ok, well if you REALLY offer a high-quality product, you answer every comment on your social media (kudos for that!) and you offer 1-3 day delivery, there is still something else you should do to make sure people really SEE the difference.
.
-“…Stap playing games with me Mike, what is that!?”
.
Let me explain:
.
If you offer high-end products and even more so if you are in the fashion and jewelry niche, you wanna make sure that people understand the value of your brand. Otherwise, how can they differentiate between a $5 ring and $500 ring? People who know your brand already will recognise the difference, but what about new customers?
.
This is a real problem. So many low-quality dropshipping stores pop up every day and people stop trusting brands they don’t know so well. Some of the dropshipping stores even havefast shipping times since there are local suppliers which can send products from their warehouses directly in-country, so fast shipping time is not enough to differentiate yourself from them.
.
Just a brief note here, I don’t hateDropshippers. In fact, many of my friends dropship successfully, but I know that high-end brands have a real need to show the real value of their products.
.
OK, so here’s what to do:
.
(you may be doing some of these things already, but most the people don’t do all of them)
.
1. Always make sure to use high-resolution images and videos. Images must be trimmed so that you do not cut out any details, like people faces, etc.
.
2. Try using unique images, if possible. Sometimes even branded stores may use manufacturer images, so having your own will help you position yourself as a real brand.
.
3. Use brand videos, the purpose of which is not to sell a particular product, but to increase awareness.
.
4. Use personalized language in the copy. Split your audiences so that you use different messaging to males, females and different age groups. This will ensure that different people see and relate to your brand message.
.
5. Ensure that your copy is clear and grammatically correct. Some visitors judge a site’s credibility by the absence of obvious grammar and spelling errors.
.
6. Avoid overly salesy and explicit language. Try not to overuse emojis and capital letters, but it’s OK to use them a little. Note: don’t take the other extreme where you don’t use marketing copywriting at all; you just need to make sure you strike the right balance.
.
7. Do not use too many discount codes and make sure those are not too big; these will undervalue your brand. You can use discount codes when having a seasonal promotion, like Christmas, or instead, you can offer a free additional product to push the sale. This will help you to retain the value of your brand.
.
8. Don’t show constantly-running mark-downs or mark-downs across too broad a range of products. This can appear as though the original price is not genuine and it’s a common sales tactic used by inexperienced dropshippers.
.
9. Make sure that there is a design consistency across your funnel. If your ads display one set of colors, you should use the same colors on your product pages and so on. Most of the people have their checkout pages totally off. This is sometimes because they use Shopify and not Shopify Plus and so they have limited options of customizing checkout. There are apps that can help with that, like Carthook or Cashier by BoldCommerce, for example.
.
10. Have a customer service phone number based in your country of sale to demonstrate a local presence.
.
Those are just 10 easy-to-execute points, out of hundreds more that can really make a difference, but these alone should bring you much better sales results once implemented.
